Mission

We bring together human rights organizations and feminist activists, physicians, and media professionals for regional advocacy to create transformation in the practices, policies and laws related to SRH&Rs, GBV, HIV/AIDS and women’s rights. Hiv/Aids, women rights and safe abortion frameworks in Africa and MENA (Arab States) We also work to ensure bodily autonomy of the vulnerable groups and the rights of LGBTQI people in these regions.

Our vision is to support, educate and empower women to achieve their personal autonomy, reach their full potentials and effectively participate across all spheres of the society, by knowing their rights and responsibilities, and being able to make their own decisions.

We believe in the urgency of climate change actions and are committed to make climate change initiatives equitable, inclusive and representative of all community members.

We are committed to promote full and equal access to SRH&Rs and safe abortion services, education and legal services for all MENA region women, specially marginalized women, who need our support to recognize their rights, achieve their basic needs;and ensure their participation in the formulation and implementation of policies that affect their development.

We are committed to support United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals 5, 8 and 13.

Sector of intervention

  • Safe abortion is a human right; Safe abortion refers to abortions carried out with a method recommended by the WHO.

  • SRHR encompasses the different human rights related to sexuality and reproduction, such as sexual health, sexual rights, reproductive health, and reproductive rights.

  • Gender-based violence is violence directed against a person because of that person's gender or violence that affects persons of a particular gender disproportionately.

  • violence against women means any act of gender-based violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women
